Growth Day
Growth day was an interesting day. We had an assembly talk in the morning. We headed back to our classrooms. We had to make an advertisment on one of the 16 habits of minds. After the activity, we went for our recess. After our recess, we went back to our classroom for our target setting. And after our target setting, everyone went back to the hall for another assembly. We watched everyones videos. After the assembly, we were released from school

Individual blog entry-"i can make a difference"
What I have learnt for the 3R's which stand for reduce, reuse and recycle is that this three R's play an very important role in keeping the environment clean and making the place we live in a more enjoyable place to live in. I have found different ways in reducing garbage.Use less paper.Ask your teacher if he/she will let students hand in assignments or email or handing it in on a computer disk.We can also reduce the amount of plastic bags and bring our own bags when we go grocery shopping.Ways to reuse can be by reusing materials in art class that you would normally throw away.Use paper grocery bags to make book covers instead of buying cloth ones.Last but not least recycling, you can start a recycling program at your school, buy notebooks and paper that were made from recycled paper.
I find that we are not doing our best in making use of the 3R's to help the environment as i can still see many people carrying many plastics bags to help carry their groceries. Many people are also still throwing papers which were only written with a few words.I do use my own bag when i go grocery shopping with my family. My suggestions for further improvements would be that we start to make new programs that teaches us on the 3R's. Even the slightest help would make a difference in keeping the environment clean.

write about at time when you lost something expensive but learnt a valuable lesson
“oh my god! Where did I put it! How could I have lost it? It was such an expensive watch. My parents had bought me an expensive watch. My parents had bought the watch to reward me for doing well in my examinations. They even told me that I could choose anything I wanted. I thought and thought about it and finally thought of a watch. My parents agreed to it.
We went to many different places to find my watch and finally found one which I really liked . it was quite expensive but my parents still bought it for me. I was elated and excited as I wanted to show my friends. When I went to school, I immediately went to show it to my friends. My friends all crowded around me . I heard whisper and other of my friends who were commenting on the watch. They were all jealous of me. At that moment, I felt as though I was going to be the most popular student in my school. Who knew, something unfortunate happened.
During art lesson, we were going to paint pictures. As I did not want to dirty my new and expensive watch, I took out my watch and left it on the table. After painting for awhile, I went to the toilet without taking my watch with me. How stupid I was! I should have brought my watch with me. Anyway, when I came back, I did not notice that my watch was missing. I realized it was only when the lesson was over and I wanted to wear my watch again.
I could not find it. It was missing. I asked my friends if they had taken it, however none of then did. My teacher even made a check through our bags to make sure, I searched everywhere. However my efforts were in vain. I was trying very hard to try to remember where I had put it.
I finally had no choice but to tell my parents. They were of course angry, but they were also very disappointed. My parents told me that there was nothing else we could do. They told me that I have to be more careful next time. I took their advice and from that day on, I never lost anything else again

write about a day which you will always remember
"What! it is not snowing?" disappointment filled us when we arrived in Hakuba, japan. it was winter and we were promised snow, snow, nothing but snow. Sadly, there was no snow to greet us that day. We went to check the weather forecast at our hotel lobby and found out that today would be a raining day instead. My happiness started to seep away. The anticipation of my first encounter to touch snow was gone. I was disappointed and so were the other kids. We had no choice and went shopping at the village. I went to bed a disappointed, broken heart.
In my sleep, someone with a very familiar voice shouted "its snowing! it's snowing!" the shouting got louder and louder. Gosh! it's real! it was my mother shrieking excitedly. She shook me into reality" wake up andre! wake up quickly!" soon there was a lot of commotion as all of us ran out to the balcony to catch the falling snow which immediately melted when it landed on our palms into our mouths.
All of us lost no time to dress up and took a cable car up to happo~one ski resort in the alps. It was so beautiful up there. It was snowing heavily. Everywhere was in the purest white. The snow was as deep as knee level. It was softly and fluffy as you jumped into it. We rolled over the snow, buried ourselves as much as we can go. My sister even tried to make a snowman which was not as easy a task as we can imagine. What is snow without snowball fights! soon, all the kids were ganging up to declare war at our parents. We attacked each other wildly with snowballs flying in all directions. It was so exciting that we felt so warm despite in this freezing weather.
Every good thing had to come to an end . It was time for us to head back to our hotel. I took a deep moment to look at the snow for the last time. This beautiful, wonderful winter land had crafted and image so deep in my mind that i would never forget this day~ a day i truly will never always remember.

An incident when i was caught in a storm
A dark shape was swallowing the valley in huge gulps. Thunder boomed in the distance. The distant crackle of thunder prompted a more pressing concern. If a lightning struck, it could electrocute us. I and my friends tried to seek shelter but soon the storm was on us and we were soaked.
How did this happen? Well we had planned to climb one of the most famous rocks named the bonito pillar in Europe. The weather forecast was that I would be a good day for hikers to climb today so we decided, why not? However, by midday we were half way up the pillar, we saw that the valley was being swallowed by a dark shape. The forecast, I realized was wildly wrong. Soon there was thunder, lightning and I was raining. Luckily, we found a cave that protected us from the storm. However, while we were in the cave, choon long fetes and legs felt like a corpse. We weren’t far from unconsciousness. We knew that we had to find help soon or choon long would die. The next day the storm was gone. The dark still sky was now a blue bright sun. Luckily a rescue team found us. We were all dirty, hungry and tired.
We told the rescue team that our friend was dying. They immediately brought him to a hospital and came back for us. We were relieved to hear that our friend was going to survive the horrible ordeal that we had been through

Confessions Of a Coimetrophobia
" Mom! Mom! where are you!" I was seven years old when i was lost at a cemetery. My parents, sister and me went to the cemetery to pay our respect to my fathers friend who had died of a hard attack. Our parents brought us to the cemetery at about 6o.clock in the afternoon. Me and my sister were still very young so we did not know what to do. When we were there, our parents told us not to play as it would be rude.Although our parents told us not to play, we could not control ourselves and ran around playing catching.
Our parents frown at us and shouted at us but we could not hear them as we were running far away. After about an hour,we were both tired. My sister went back to my parents. I was very tired so I walk back to my parents while my sister ran back. When i went back , I could not find them. I search every where, i went to the toilets. I went every where. It was about 8pm now.I shouted for them. However, my efforts were in vain. The place was pitch dark. My skin was a cold and stiff as a corpse. i tried finding for my parents the last time. Sadly, i could not find them
I was panic-stricken. I did not know what else to do. I sat down on the floor and tears streak down my face. My mind was blank. After crying for five minutes, i heard a sound which pierced the silent and still air. It was my mother! I ran to her and hugged her as hard as i could, she told me that it was punishment and warn me never to do it again. I promised her and sweared to her that I would never disrespect her again.
